We are looking for an experienced piano tuner technician to join and lead our very busy workshop.

Shackleford Pianos started in 2008, the company’s director has been working as a piano technician, piano maker, and restorer since 1984. The company offers the highest quality in piano tuning, repairs, and full piano restoration.

We also present a large showroom with new, restored, and reconditioned upright, grand, and historical pianos.

The person we are looking for will have a leadership role in the workshop, with complete knowledge of the piano restoration process, including finishing the pianos to play to a very high standard, and be able to set and meet production targets. The ability to multitask, give advice to others, and be able to communicate and work well with team leaders, staff, and customers is essential.

Interview process – 

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate quickly the ability to tune a piano to concert standard, be able to identify and remedy small problems in regulating and voicing, be able to look over and write a report on what is needed to restore a piano that will be presented to them, and the ability to communicate well with the directors.
